我们（纽约以外的人）为什么要关心下一任市长是谁？为什么这件事会引起如此多的全国关注？
thanks yall. i feel my question has been sufficiently answered. i guess i was just confused why NYC received much more coverage than other states, but i have a better understanding now. i'll leave this post up in case anybody else had similar thoughts as me.
